For Dilla

As a music fan, and specifically, a fan who grew up with Hip Hop during it’s Golden Era, I’d be remiss if I didn’t put something together to celebrate the life of probably the greatest Hip Hop producer ever, James “J Dilla” Yancey. Many of you are probably familiar with his sound and the many artists who were blessed to work with him prior to his passing on this day, Feb. 10th 2006. Almost 15 years later, his music still touches and moves crowds. With that in mind, here is a short track I put together thanks to years of inspiration from him.

Call it a “thank you” note of sorts.
