Digital Storytelling "Woke"shop
For the past month and a half I've had the pleasure of participating as a teacher / facilitator for an amazing program for young creatives in the Durham area. The program, a Digital Storytelling "Woke"shop at Blackspace, founded by my friend Piece Freelon, is giving the opportunity for these young talented kids to learn about the arts of storytelling and photography / filmmaking from local professional subject matter experts. This program will culminate in a final documentary project which will be filmed, edited and conceptualized by the kids while focusing on the social relevance of being young, talented and black in today's society. I'm looking forward to seeing what these talented young people come up with and am thankful for the opportunity to share some knowledge with them. Stay tuned...
